HP has released Service Pack 1 of LoadRunner 11.50 (combined as 11.51). The release includes serveral enhancements, such as additional data format extensions to support XSS, Remedy and WCF Binary XML, Citrix XenDesktop and Citrix Access Gateway (CAG) support, non-administrator execution, Oracle Forms 11, analysis support for SQLite embedded database, and more. Full release details can be found in the product READme.
HP LoadRunner is an automated performance and test-automation product used for examining system behavior and performance, while generating actual load. HP LoadRunner can simulate thousands of concurrent users to put an application through the rigors of real-life user loads, while collecting information from key infrastructure components (Web servers, database servers etc.). The results can then be analyzed in detail, to explore the reasons for particular behavior.
Many Techport Thirteen clients have used LoadRunner successfully in the past to help strengthen their ITSM tool's performance. Since LoadRunner supports many of the most common application protocols, like Flex AMF, Citrix ICA, Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), ERP/CRM (e.g. SAP, Oracle eBusiness, Siebel and PeopleSoft), Databases, Mail Clients, Web Services, and AJAX TruClient (with V.11.0), it is an excellent product to consider using during a major tool upgrade project, or during a standalone, complimentary, application hardening project.
Thinking about upgrading to HP LoadRunner 11.51? There are two ways to proceed:
- If you are not using LoadRunner today, you can download and install the latest software version via HP's support website using your HP Passport credentials.
- If you are already using LoadRunner, you can use the HP updates tool via your HP Passport credentials. Select LoadRunner and its version, and download the relevant files.
